For many years this soon to be renovated chalet was just a concrete block shell being used for storage. Last year the property was acquired by a new owner who wanted to transform the space into a family home. BDS Architecture Ltd had the pleasure of designing a suitable layout for the existing building to make it into a fabulous four bedroom family living space. The above photo shows the property half way through it's renovation.

This is how the building looked for many years. Originally a flat roof building, the new transformation design includes a traditional pitched roof to incorporate two bedrooms in the new roof space.

Views to die for!

Set in the French Alps this property enjoys stunning views across the mountainous valley over to Meribel. The larger full height window maximises both on light and view.

Before and During

Here you can see how the 'box' shape flat roof building is really taking shape. The left photo shows the before and the right shows the during, complete with the new pitched roof and Velux windows.
